Want to have peanut butter brownies but are too lazy to make the special peanut butter filling, but for some reason not too lazy to make brownies from scratch, but kind of wish you just got the Ghirardelli boxed brownies cause you realize that you’re actually really tired and really don’t want to go back to the store? ADD NUTTER BUTTERS! It’s okay to “treat yo self!” every once in a while. At least that’s what I told myself when I made these brownies.
I love brownies. It’s definitely the first thing I think of baking whenever I want to bake. If I could, I would bake brownies all the time… maybe I just will. Anyway, the brownie recipe I use is really good on its own; super moist and chewy. Add Nutter Butters and you got yourself, well, you got yourself Nutter Butter brownies.
- 1 brownie recipe (below) or 1 box of your favorite brownie mix
- 8 Nutter Butters
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 x 8 inch baking dish. Prepare brownies according to the box (or recipe below) and pour half the batter in the greased pan. Add the nutter butters on top. Pour the rest of the brownie mix over the Nutter Butters and smooth top. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and ENJOY.
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, baking or chips
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/3 cup flour
Melt chocolate and butter in a double broiler or in the microwave in a large heat-proof bowl at 30 second increments. If melting in a double broiler, remove melted butter and chocolate from heat once melted. Mix in sugar, forming a gritty paste. Whisk in eggs one at a time til completely incorporated. Stir in vanilla and flour til just combined. Bake at 350 for about 25 to 30 minutes.
