Hello and thank you for pardoning our dust during this slight remodel of our blog! Just think of it as that awkward stage between junior high and high school. Gangly with awkward bangs and high waters. Wait, are we still talking about the blog?
To tide you over until we emerge as a beautiful butterfly, have some hummus!
This is a delicious dip for vegetables, crackers or bread. Or rice cakes, on the floor of your apartment after saying toodles to one of your favorite people who is moving to LA (COUGH Alexi COUGH). Do not fret, though, our blog baby will continue to flourish, as we have joint custody and love it unconditionally.
Garlic Lime Hummus
-1 can garbanzo beans
-1/3 cup olive oil
-1 tablespoon cumin
-1 tablespoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-a good squeeze of lime juice
Cream all ingredients together in a food processor and serve!
Note:I used a blender and it was a less-than-awesome experience that yielded slightly chunky, yet still delicious, hummus. Also, this is a tahini-free recipe because my dear brother is allergic to sesame.
